Dave Thompson has the big machinery in BoatHaven Shipyard for cutting down a large slab of wood to plank size. Pax's planks are 1" thick. The replacement board needed to be 8' long (to a butt that was there before). It was 6" wide and hand planed or beveled with the bandsaw to refine it on site at Diana's shop.
