Grandma "Gammer" Cronkhite must have made a birthday wish in heaven.  An October wedding, led to house purchase, led to remodeled writing retreat. This timely arrival in Oklahoma coincided with the final phase of renovation of Roman Nose State Park , the Park my grandfather originally envisioned; where my grandmother, father and aunts worked; and where me and my siblings spent countless summer days expoloring, swimming and growing up with red dirt memories. At the request of Park historians, I provided photographs for a timeline reflecting family history of the region.
