This is a series of six photos my mother found laying in the attic on the Ranch years ago. She had them framed and from the time I was a child, it hung prominently in our living room. Chief Henry Roman Nose is standing near his tent. His first wife is in one photo. After her death, his second in another. The photo of two horsemen is my great grandfather and great great grandfather on land that belonged to the Roman Nose family and was either purchased or leased by Cronkhites for three generations.
