NPR's West Coast Live from PT Wooden Boat Festival

wclkcsedbert.JPGKaci was one of the featured guests on "NPR's West Coast Live" on Saturday, September 9, 2006 from 10a-12.

Bertram Levy (seated behind Kaci as he played the background music live for the broadcast) and guitarist Joe Euro, both "local" artists who regularly play at the Wooden Boat Festival, provided live musical accompaniement while host Sedge Thomas interviewed Kaci about the circumnavigation.

Carol Hasse, Brion Toss and Steve Miller (yes, THE Steve) talked with Sedge about the uniqueness of wooden boat culture and the reasons all of them either live or visit often.  Miller, who was just finishing a nationwide tour to celebrate 20 years since Fly Like an Eagle topped the charts, said he always leaves his schedule open this weekend.  "I get my sanity back here," he said, "then carry on up north into the islands."
